KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 is set for a highly anticipated return in December this year.

Showcasing cutting-edge vehicles, eco-friendly mobility solutions, groundbreaking technology from leading automotive brands and more, KLIMS 2024 is scheduled to be held from Dec 5 to Dec 11 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec).

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, is expected to grace the event.

Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), this year’s showcase themed “Beyond Mobility” highlights key trends shaping the future of the automotive industry.

MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said KLIMS 2024 serves as a crucial platform for the automotive industry to showcase its latest advancements.

It also serves to provide insights into transformative trends such as electric vehicles (EVs) and eco-friendly mobility solutions.

“With the Malaysian government’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and innovative mobility solutions, including incentives for EV adoption and policies supporting green technology, we see an exciting trajectory for our automotive sector,” he said during a briefing here on Thursday.

Mohd Shamsor, who is also KLIMS 2024 organising committee chairman, said the theme aligns with Malaysia’s push towards electrification and smart infrastructure, positioning the country to be at the forefront of South-East Asia’s automotive advancements.

“KLIMS 2024 will bring these innovations to life, showcasing how brands are embracing technologies that drive environmental responsibility and efficiency.

“We look forward to highlighting the progress, resilience and future potential of Malaysia’s automotive industry,” he said.

Mohd Shamsor said they are also expecting a footfall of about 250,000 visitors in total.

KLIMS 2024 will feature a lucky draw, with a chance to win a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited in Platinum White Pearl with a two-tone colour scheme, as well as a Perodua AXIA in striking Lava Red.

There will also be exclusive debuts from Perodua, Nissan, Toyota, Great Wall Motor, Kia, Morris Garage (MG), Mazda and more.

Concept cars, Classic cars and exotic models will similarly be on display.

There will also be a special display of iconic Ferrari F1 cars, showcasing the evolution from Schumacher's legendary era to Charles Leclerc's modern speed machines, with attendees having the chance to purchase exclusive miniature Ferrari die-cast cars.

Race simulators will be happening throughout the show with a grand finale on the final day (Dec 11).

Concurrently, automotive clubs from across Malaysia will also converge, with about 200 cars estimated to join.

Various partners from both the public and private sector will also offer engaging experiences during KLIMS 2024.

Among key government and industry supporters for KLIMS 2024 include the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute, Automotive Federation Malaysia, Motorcycle and Scooter Assemblers and Distributors Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Automotive Component Parts Manufacturers Association.

Transport services will also be provided for guests comprising shuttle bus services from Sunway Putra and Central Market to Mitec, shuttle van services from the Matrade open carpark and National Hockey Stadium to Mitec.

Avis Cars will also shuttle attendees to the venue, with e-hailing platform MyRide offering special promo codes.

Endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, KLIMS 2024 solidifies its role as a premier platform for showcasing Malaysia’s automotive sector to international markets, further elevating the country’s reputation as a hub for automotive innovation and sustainability.

KLIMS 2024 is managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia, a B2B and B2C exhibition and event organiser with a global presence.
