PETALING JAYA: Commuters in the Klang Valley now have a limited window to save on Grab rides, as the company has reduced the availability of GrabCar Saver to 10am to 1pm on weekdays.

The feature was rolled out in the Klang Valley in December 2023 and offered rides at up to 20% cheaper between 9am to 4pm on weekdays.

This change represents a significant reduction in the time window that users have to book cheaper rides using the feature, from seven hours down to only three hours, less than half of the previously allotted time frame.

LifestyleTech has reached out to Grab Malaysia for comments on the adjusted Saver ride timings, including if other states are affected.

The pilot for the Saver programme was launched in July 2023 in Kuantan and certain parts of Sabah and Sarawak. It is currently operational in various cities across Malaysia.
