Black and silver: the Nikon Df will be available in either silver or black

Nikon has just announced the Df (which stands for “Digital Fusion”), a retro DSLR which combines the styling of the company’s classic film SLRs with the technology of the company’s current DSLR lineup.

Sporting a 16.2-megapixel full-frame image sensor based on the high-end Nikon D4 sensor, the camera has many design cues from classic Nikon cameras, including a leatherette finish with a classically-styled pentaprism “hump” and mechanical dials for ISO, shutter and exposure compensation.
