It is recommended that you use a fixed-line telephone when possible to avoid exposing yourself to radiation generated by smartphones. Keeping calls made with your mobile phone short also helps.

Most people keep their smartphone within arm's reach at all times. And while that's great for staying connected, it's a bit scary when you consider that mobile phones are a source of radiation 

"Anyone who talks a lot on the phone, in particular, is exposed to a large amount of electromagnetic radiation," says Stefan Winopal, from German mobile phone website inside-handy.de.
