If you're tired of seeing ads when you go to watch something on YouTube or you want to download a video to watch offline, you may want to consider a YouTube Premium subscription, a paid service that allows you to do just that.
YouTube Premium allows subscribers to watch the video sharing website's content ad-free, offline and even in the background if you open another app or turn off the screen on a mobile device. Content can be watched on a mobile device, a desktop computer or an enabled TV.
In addition, subscribers can listen to ad-free and offline music via the YouTube Music app. Anyone who uses Google's music streaming service Play Music will receive access to YouTube Music Premium free of charge, Google says.
Videos and music can be saved to mobile devices and watched or listened to offline for up to 30 days. Subscribers also get access to YouTube Originals, a channel featuring original series and movies.
A subscription costs US$11.99 (RM48.54) a month in the United States. There's also a family membership option that allows up to six users to share music and videos on up to ten devices.
YouTube Premium is currently available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South Korea, Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom and is likely to be rolled out to more countries over time. — dpa
