Kuala Lumpur will host the global Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on Oct 11.

For the first time ever, Malaysia is set to host a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 11.

The global event is where Samsung announces the company's latest Galaxy models. Malaysia is also the first country in this region to be selected to host a Galaxy Unpacked event.

The last Galaxy Unpacked event to announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was held in New York City back in August. Other previous Galaxy Unpacked venues include London, England; Berlin, Germany and Barcelona, Spain.

For the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in KL, Samsung has released a teaser image with the words "4X Fun", leading most media outlets to speculate that the company may unveil a device with four cameras. It is also speculated that Samsung may announce a foldable mobile device.

On the official Samsung mobile press website, two new models were announced on Sept 18, the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+. Both models come with a 6in HD+ display.

Perhaps the event in KL will also focus on the official unveiling of these two new devices?
