Samsung unveils its first triple-camera smartphone – Galaxy A7

The Galaxy A7 will be available in three colours


The smarphone also has an intelligent Scene Optimiser that can identify scenes and subjects and tweak the colour, contrast and brightness for the best photo.

“Samsung is committed to delivering meaningful innovation to all consumers across the Galaxy family, no matter who they are or where they are in the world,” said DJ Koh, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics’ IT and mobile communications division.

For selfie enthusiasts, there is a 24-megapixel front camera (f/2.0) with adjustable LED flash.

The Galaxy A7 has a 6in full HD+ display, 2.2GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and 3,300mAh battery. It runs on Android 8.1.

It will be available in three colours – blue, black and gold – with a premium glass design and a side fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy A7 is expected to be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 11.
