Pre-order for iPhone XR, XS and XS Max starts on Oct 19


An important part of Apple’s new strategy is that the lowest-priced device released this week, the iPhone XR, has the same processor and a camera resolution as high as its pricier counterparts. — AFP Relaxnews

Apple Malaysia has unveiled the pricing for the iPhone XR – the 64GB model costs RM3,599, the 128GB costs RM3,849 and the 256GB costs RM4,299.

The iPhone XR will be available in six colours – White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral and Red.

The device will come with Earpods with lightning connector, lightning to USB cable and 5W USB power adaptor. The wireless Airpods, sold separately, cost RM649.

The iPhone XR has a 6.1in HD display and runs on the A12 Bionic chip  and is powered by iOS 12.

Other key features are a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8) with 5x digital zoom, a 7-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.2), 4K video recording and Face ID unlock.

If you’re looking for the iPhone XS with a 5.8in display, be prepared to fork out RM4,999 for the 64GB version, RM5,699 for the 256GB and RM6,649 for the 512GB.

The iPhone XS Max with a 6.5in display is priced at RM5,399 for the 64GB model, RM6,099 for the 256GB and a whopping RM7,049 for the 512GB.

The iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in three colours, namely Silver, Space Gray and Gold.

They also run on the A12 Bionic chip and are powered by iOS 12. Both smartphones have dual 12-megapixel wide-angle and telephoto cameras and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera.

The pre-order opens on Oct 19 at 3pm.
