SG Nasi Lemak chat admin jailed and fined; had more than 11,000 obscene photos and videos


The SG Nasi Lemak chat group on Telegram was created in November 2018, and had grown to more than 44,000 members at its peak, with 29 admins. One of its admins, Liong was found with a total of 8,139 obscene photos and 3,083 obscene videos on his devices. — Bloomberg

SINGAPORE: An administrator of the SG Nasi Lemak Telegram chat group was found with more than 11,000 obscene photos and videos on his devices.

Liong Tianwei, 39, was jailed for nine weeks and fined Sg$26,000 (RM79,678) on Tuesday (March 9).
