UK charity calls for ‘unhappy pile of poo’ emoji to reflect our mood


The range of emoji may be more diverse than ever, and yet the vast majority say there is still no emoji to convey mental health struggles, according to a recent study. — dpa

A charity in Britain is calling for a new “unhappy pile of poo” emoji to be added as a “way to tell loved ones that things aren’t great”.

The London-based Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm) and British comedian Rosie Jones are urging the Unicode Consortium – which is responsible for emoji – to consider the move to help people take the first steps towards telling someone they are struggling with their mental wellbeing.
