Spotify can now control the lights in your Philips Hue smart bulbs

For those where nightclubs are still closed during the pandemic, Spotify users with a Philips smart bulb can now turn on the disco feeling in their own home. — Philips Hue/Signify/dpa

Because everything in your home must be connected, Philips and Spotify have teamed up so that the smart lightbulbs in your home light up to reflect the music you're listening to.

In future, the smart LED lights from Philips Hue will sync up to any track you're listening to on Spotify. The new feature works by creating an extended lighting script in the Hue app in real time for each song played.
