Google Doodle pays tribute to Malaysian zoologist Dr Lim Boo Liat


Google chose to honour Dr Lim today because it was on this day in 2003 that he became the first South East Asian and fourth Asian to receive an Honorary Membership to the American Society of Mammalogists (ASM). — Google

Google is paying tribute to Malaysian zoologist Dr Lim Boo Liat in a Doodle that can be seen on the search homepage today (June 21).

The late Dr Lim has been described as a leading authority on all things related to Malaysia’s biological diversity. He was credited for helping to establish Zoo Negara in Kuala Lumpur and has written more than 300 scientific publications about mammalogy and parasitology.
