Apple’s iPhone 14 offers camera upgrades, satellite feature; priced from RM4,199

The standard iPhone 14 will cost US$799 (RM4,199 onwards in Malaysia) and will be available locally on Sept 23, with the Plus version coming in at US$899 (from RM4,699 in Malaysia) on Oct 7. Pre-orders for both iPhone 14 variants start on Sept 16. — AP

Apple Inc unveiled a new lineup of devices on Sept 7 with few surprises beyond one major one: It didn’t raise its US prices during one of the worst years for inflation in decades.

At its biggest product-launch event of the year, dubbed Far Out, the company introduced the iPhone 14, fresh AirPods Pro earbuds and an Apple Watch upgrade that included a first-ever Ultra model. The iPhone retains the general look of the older version while getting camera enhancements, a long-anticipated satellite-messaging feature and – on the higher-end models – a new interface called the Dynamic Island.
