HONOR’S imaging flagship, the HONOR 70 launched last month in Malaysia and had already gained praise among consumers.
It was also lauded by the local media as "the best camera phone in the RM2,000 price range" and continues the technology aesthetics of HONOR's N series, while innovating in design technology.
The HONOR 70 also refined its imaging capabilities to bring local consumers better smartphone options.
As an independent brand, HONOR has also been recognised internationally, appearing at Europe's biggest tech show, the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) that only the world's best brands can participate in.
It also grabbed 35 awards from industry and media, including the 21 won by HONOR 70.
Among them, the EISA (the world's largest consumer electronics product award) awarded it the "Best Buy Smartphone", stating that “HONOR 70 offers the best photographic quality in its class, boasts a modern, slim finish with gentle curves and also outperforms the price point. This is a remarkable achievement from HONOR.”
In addition, global top-tier tech media TechRadar praised HONOR 70 as "the best Android phone of the year", calling it “an attractive phone with good specs for the price, particularly in the camera, processor and design departments - it feels like a premium phone in most ways."
Best price range camera phone with dual-main camera system
HONOR 70 has a dual-main camera that’s rare in its price range.
Among them, the IMX800 Super Sensing Camera increases the amount of incoming light, allowing HONOR 70 to perform well in low light and back light.
User Muhammad Saufi expressed his amazement for the photos taken by the HONOR 70, which costs only RM1,999, is comparable with other phones that costs much more.
He uses his phone to record the fun moments of children during their daily activities.
"When I travel, I like taking pictures and videos using my phone. So I always choose a phone that can take good pictures, like the HONOR 70."
The back of HONOR 70 is also unique. It uses a dual-film, triple-texture and dual-coating technology, while the diamond-shaped texture sparkles when the light changes.
Under the light, it looks elegant, as if studded with sparkling crystals.
Another user, Wong said, "The colour is very beautiful. The body shimmers giving it a different feel and a premium feel when held."
Against the downward trend, HONOR performed excellently in China
The vast sales of the HONOR 70 series helped to sustain the brand’s leading position, nailing the top spot in Q2’s smartphone market sales in China – as reported by IDC.
Meanwhile the HONOR Magic4 series added more firepower to the premium value of smartphones beyond the price point of US$600.
According to a report released by Strategy Analytics on Aug 1, HONOR became the largest phone vendor in China for the first time with a market share of 19% in the second quarter of 2022.
Although the sales and shipment trends of the Chinese phone industry this year showed a sharp decline, the brand performed well against that trend, proving the consumers' trust.
Now, HONOR has introduced its three smartphone series to Malaysia and will continue to develop ecosystem products such as laptops and tablets in the future.
