Study: From maintaining friendships to expressing creativity and seeking support, social media isn't all bad for young teens

While there's no denying the negative impact that social networks can have, young users still find some positive aspects in using these platforms, according to recent US research.

Despite the harmfulness of social networks, young people are still addicted to these platforms. While there's no shortage of studies calling out their negative aspects, Pew Research* and Ipsos conducted a survey of more than 1,000 Americans, age 13 to 17, to understand their relationship with social networks.
