Apple Inc is changing the pricing structure for the App Store to let developers charge a wider range of amounts, the latest effort to offer more flexibility and stave off criticism of the platform.
Prices can now start at just US$0.29 (RM1.28) – compared with a previous floor of US$0.49 (RM2.16) for subscriptions and US$0.99 (RM4.36) for apps – and range up to US$10,000 (RM44,050), the company said on Dec 6. The highest price level had been US$999.99 (RM4,404). Developers also will have new options for setting prices across different countries and currencies.
