CelcomDigi has unveiled the company’s first new offering for customers since finalising its merger last year.

The company has announced that customers can get a free 5G phone if they sign up for a plan bundled with the device as part of a new promotional deal for Chinese New Year (CNY).

Among the smartphones offered in the promo are the Redmi 10 5G (priced at RM959) and Samsung Galaxy A13 5G (priced at RM1,099). Both models come with 128GB storage space.

Despite being one entity now, the plans will differ for customers under Celcom or Digi’s respective telco lines. In a statement, the company said customers can get their hands on one of the phones if they sign up for a 24-month contract with Celcom Mega 98 plan under its Device Bundle plan or Digi Postpaid 90 under Pakej PowerJimat.

Celcom is also offering other 5G phones including the Oppo Reno 8Z 5G (priced at RM1,599) and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (RM1,299), which are both available for free under the Celcom Mega 188 plan.

Digi’s other 5G phone offerings include the Honor X8 5G (priced at RM999) for customers who sign up for Digi Prepaid 90. The plan comes with 60GB monthly Internet data.

More details about CelcomDigi’s promotion for CNY are available on Celcom and Digi websites.

After finalising its merger, the company said in a statement on Dec 1, 2022, that it will be progressively integrating its assets as well as leveraging on local talents and vendors to bring more benefits to customers. The company has also announced that it will be serving more than 20 million customers in Malaysia.
