PETALING JAYA: CelcomDigi has started offering international roaming plans with 5G to both its Celcom and Digi customers.

The 30-day Unlimited Internet Pass for Celcom customers includes unlimited data with a 2GB high-speed daily quota in 57 countries for RM95. Once the high-speed data is exceeded, the speed will be limited to 1Mbps (megabits per second).

Digi's 30-Day World Pass, on the other hand, offers 30GB of high-speed data in 69 countries for RM98.

Roaming for both passes includes 5G connectivity in 38 countries.

For those planning shorter trips overseas, there is also a 7-Day Unlimited Internet Pass for RM58 under Celcom in 20 countries, while Digi’s roaming plans for each region start at RM25 for three days.

The roaming plans, available to both prepaid and postpaid subscribers, can be purchased via the respective telco's mobile app.

Roaming in 15 countries was previously available for free to Celcom users last September during the 5G Friendly User Trial, prior to the company's merger with Digi.

Following the merger, CelcomDigi became the largest telco in the country, serving an estimated 20 million Malaysian customers.
