PETALING JAYA: ‘Pakej Perpaduan’ or Unity Package plans offering 30GB data for RM30 with 180 days validity are available for purchase starting today (Feb 28) from various telcos.
CelcomDigi announced that the Unity Package is open to youths (12 to 30 years old), users in the B40 segment, persons with disabilities (PWD), senior citizens and uniformed bodies veterans.
Digi Prepaid Next customers can purchase the package through the MyDigi app while Celcom Xpax customers can do so via the Celcom Life app.
The telco stated that those who want to register for the Unity Package plan – for example PWDs, the B40 group and uniformed bodies veterans – are advised to visit the nearest Celcom or Digi store for verification purposes and to check their eligibility.
Add-ons such as 30GB data with 35 days validity are available for RM35 for Digi customers while Celcom customers can purchase additional 2GB data for RM3 per day. More details are available on the Digi and Celcom websites.
U Mobile announced that its Unity Package plan is open to eligible 5G-Ready Prepaid Plan customers, who can purchase the plan through the MyUMobile app. The 30GB data can be used for mobile hotspot, and add-ons such as additional daily 1GB data is available for RM3 per day.
Yes has also released an FAQ about its Unity Package offering, stating that eligible subscribers can apply for the package at its Yes Store.
Hotlink also announced that eligible prepaid customers can purchase the plan through the Hotlink app. More details are available on its FAQ page.
Eligible users have until Dec 31 to sign up for plans under the Unity Package.
In his speech today, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Unity Package was introduced by the government to ensure the rakyat could get access to high-quality Internet services at an affordable price.
He added that details about the Unity Package fixed Internet broadband plan, announced earlier this month, are being fine-tuned and users can expect an announcement soon.
