After Snapchat, it’s Facebook’s turn to make use of artificial intelligence. The social network is testing a new feature that can automatically create Stories using AI.

Some users recently received a notification informing them of a new option called “Advanced Stories”, a trial feature that will allow users to generate content in Story format from photos and videos already posted via their account.

Seen in a screenshot shared on Twitter by social networker Matt Navarra, the notification reads: “Allow Facebook to create high-quality, ready-made stories for you using advanced photo and video data, including image quality, location, the presence of people or animals.”

The option will analyse available content to gather items under a common theme in order to create a suitable Story.

For Facebook, this new strategy could boost the creation of content in Story form, now one of the most widely used formats on social networks. It’s also a good way to generate more user engagement.

For the moment, the "Advanced Stories" mode is not available to all Facebook users worldwide. The Meta group has not yet given a date for its general release.

Instagram has already benefited from the powers of artificial intelligence, which notably contributed to the success of Reels by proposing content likely to interest users.

For its part, Snapchat has already implemented two new options developed thanks to artificial intelligence, including "My AI", the platform's new virtual friend. – AFP Relaxnews
