A DoorDash driver was shot in the leg Saturday morning (May 20) after making a delivery in north Houston, police said.

The driver made the delivery around 3am to an apartment complex in the 6700 block of Bennington, Houston police said.

As the driver was pulling out of the complex, he heard something and stopped to check out his vehicle, police said. As he inspected his car, an unknown suspect came up and shot him in the leg.

The driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to police. A motive for the shooting is unknown. – The Houston Chronicle/Tribune News Service
