Google has made a series of courses on generative artificial intelligence available online. The courses are designed to deepen your knowledge of the subject and, for those who wish, to demonstrate this knowledge in a professional context.

The aim of this training is to explain how generative artificial intelligence works, and to describe the various existing models and their practical applications. Generative artificial intelligence makes it possible to create new content – text, images, video or music – from models trained on existing data. In recent months, this technology has led to the emergence of some very powerful and popular platforms, starting with OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard. However, users in Europe are still unable to test the latter (unless they use a VPN), as Bard is not yet available in the EU.

Ten or so courses are open to all, free of charge, but currently only available in English. From an introduction to generative AI and the latest technologies developed by Google, to an introduction to major language models, image generation and the fundamentals of generative AI, this training program promises to shed light on the various themes surrounding this technology. Each module includes a video lesson followed by a short quiz, with a badge awarded for successful completion.

As you progress through the course, you accumulate rewards, and these badges are displayed on your Google profile. If you wish, you can use them to promote your knowledge to other professionals, notably by sharing them on social networks.
