Spotify has raised the monthly subscription fee across all of its ad-free Premium plans by between RM1 to RM1.70.

Monthly subscriptions to Spotify Premium are seeing an increase from RM14.90 to RM15.90, Spotify Premium Duo from RM19.80 to RM21.50, Spotify Family from RM23.80 to RM24.90, and Spotify Premium Student from RM7.50 to RM8.50.

It is worth noting that Spotify Premium Mini (one-off Premium subscriptions on mobile devices) has not received a hike, maintaining the 75sen a day and RM2.90 a week price tags.

New subscribers will have to start paying the new subscription fee immediately, while existing subscribers will see the new pricing reflected in their bill for September.

Trial users on the other hand will be able to get a one-month subscription at the original price before the new pricing comes into effect.

This comes after Malaysia appeared to have dodged the wave of price increases for Spotify Premium subscriptions last week, albeit with a relatively smaller price increase.

For instance, the United States saw a US$1 (RM4.55) hike for all its plans.
