Acer Malaysia unveiled its new Predator Triton 17 X gaming laptop, featuring an Nvidia RTX 4090 Max-Q graphic card, an Intel Core i9 13900HX processor, and 64GB RAM.

It comes in a single configuration that includes a 4TB NVMe solid-state drive, a 17in WQXGA display with a 250Hz refresh rate, a per-key RGB keyboard, a glass touchpad, and a fingerprint reader, all packed into a 19.9mm chassis weighing 3kg.

The company claims the display on the laptop offers 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, along with always-enabled blue light filtering that does not impact colour accuracy.

The Predator Triton 17 X gaming laptop is priced at RM18,999.

Sony WF-1000XM5

This week also saw the Malaysian launch of the Sony WF-1000XM5 true wireless (TWS) earbuds, featuring improved active noise cancellation (ANC), better call quality, and up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge.

Sony touts having three microphones on each earbud intended to enhance its ANC performance in removing low-frequency sounds while also including polyurethane foam tips for reducing high-frequency noise bleed.

The charging case for the earbuds holds another 16 hours worth of charge, with Sony claiming that 60 minutes worth of playtime can be achieved with just a three-minute charge. It supports both wired and wireless charging.

The WF-1000XM5 models are about 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the last generation and are now available in either Black or Platinum Silver colours for RM1,399.
