Is X (formerly Twitter) going head to head with LinkedIn? Elon Musk’s social network has unveiled a new option that will enable users to search for job offers.

For the time being, the feature is only available to verified organisations. Only accounts with a paid Twitter Blue subscription will therefore be able to share their company’s job postings directly via their X account, we learned in a tweet from the XHiring account: “Unlock early access to the X Hiring Beta – exclusively for Verified Organizations. Feature your most critical roles and organically reach millions of relevant candidates,” it reads.

Users will be able to see a list of offers by clicking on the “View all jobs” link, available below the account bio and before the start of the news feed.

Still in test phase, organisations must pay a subscription fee of US$1,500 per month to be able to try out this feature.

However, they must still apply to join the test, before being accepted or rejected directly by the social network: "Sign up for early access to X Hiring, currently available for Verified Organizations. If eligible, we'll enable the Hiring features on your account," reads a statement on the site dedicated to applications.

According to Social Media Today, the option is not yet visible to all users worldwide. The X company has not yet announced when this feature will be rolled out on a wider scale.

The social network is not the only one looking to enter the job market. TikTok has also developed a dedicated job search platform. – AFP Relaxnews
