Maxis Home Fibre reseller website hints at possible price reductions on broadband plans

Following the reduction in pricing for Unifi broadband plans last week, it appears that Maxis is mulling its own price reduction based on a website belonging to one of its authorised resellers.

If the information on the website is accurate, there will be a decrease in monthly fees for its plans across the board, largely matching Unifi’s new lower prices.

Unlike Unifi however, Maxis does not offer a 1Gbps or 2Gbps plan to general consumers, instead offering an 800Mbps plan that does not have a Unifi equivalent.

The website lists the monthly fees for Maxis Home Fibre’s 100Mbps plan at RM99 (originally RM129), 300Mbps plan at RM139 (originally RM149), 500Mbps plan at RM159 (originally RM219), and 800Mbps plan at RM249 (originally RM299).

It also states that the 100Mbps to 500Mbps range of plans are eligible for an additional RM10 monthly rebate on subscription fees for the first 24 months.

All the previously listed broadband plans (except for the 800Mbps plan) are priced the same as equivalent offerings from TM’s Unifi.

LifestyleTech has reached out to Maxis for a statement on the alleged price revisions, but the Internet service provider has yet to comment as of time of writing.
