When does Spotify Wrapped stop tracking your music? Spotify is finally weighing in

Just as the leaves begin to change and the weather begins to cool, some Spotify users rapidly listen to music that wouldn’t embarrass them when their annual Wrapped is released.

For those unfamiliar, Spotify Wrapped is an annual tradition that brings both anxiousness and excitement to the company’s listeners.

Wrapped provides a personalised list of the songs and artistes you listened to most, then it allows you to share your highlights with the world.

Somehow, Wrapped always brings surprise and shock into our lists. What do you mean I listened to that song more than anything else?

So, if you want to hide the more shameful music from your Wrapped, you need to know the deadline to correct your wrongs.

And while many thought that deadline was Oct 31, Spotify is finally weighing in on when it stops tracking – kind of.

In a now-deleted post from Pop Base, the pop culture account warned that Spotify will stop counting music at the end of October.

But Spotify said that’s not true.

“Hmm, that doesn’t sound right to us,” the company said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Don’t worry, Wrapped is still counting past Oct 31.”

So while we know you have through Halloween and beyond, the company has not said the official last day your music will count toward 2023 Wrapped.

“When is the last day???” one X user wrote. “I need to fix my music

“GOOD!!!” a Taylor Swift fan wrote. “Because 1989 TV needs to count on my Wrapped.”

THANK GOD,” another relieved listener said on X.

Though there is no promise that this year will follow last year’s schedule, Spotify released the 2022 Wrapped on Nov 30. – The Charlotte Observer/Tribune News Service
