OpenAI and Google have simultaneously announced the addition of new features to their intelligent chatbots. ChatGPT will be able to analyse a large number of documents, while Bard will be able to start replying as you finish writing your prompt.

OpenAI continues to expand its ChatGPT Plus pay-as-you-go offering. After announcing the possibility to exchange vocally with the assistant and its ability to analyse image content, it will now be possible for the technology to analyse all types of documents. The idea is to launch queries in relation to various documents (in formats like PDF, Word, Excel, etc.), whether to extract key figures or synthesise various data.

Another useful new feature is the ability to select all the available modes ("All Tools") rather than a specific one for each prompt, depending on whether you want to search online, write code or generate an image.

Meanwhile, Google isn't sitting still with its chatbot either, having announced a rather impressive new feature on Bard. It will soon be possible to choose, for each query, to get an answer once the prompt has been completed, or an answer in real time, ie, while you're typing and refining your request. This will enable you to fine-tune your response if the first part of the generated answer doesn't meet your expectations.

These new features for ChatGPT Plus and Bard will be rolled out progressively, starting with the United States. – AFP Relaxnews
