Sales season is back, and just in time to grab some new titles right before Christmas hits. So here's some highlights on video games that might just be worth grabbing.
The first title that comes to mind would be The Game Award's game of the year for 2023: Baldur's Gate 3.
The RPG is densely packed with content building upon the world of venerable tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, though it unfortunately only got a small 10% discount during this sale, priced at RM197.10.
Another title worth looking at that received the same honour back in 2022 is FromSoftware's smash hit Elden Ring, which took the developer's trademark challenging enemies and bosses, and expanding it to an entire open world. Elden Ring is 40% off and available for RM119.40.
There's also Diablo 4, similarly 40% off and priced at RM192. While it did get a lukewarm reception upon release earlier this year and still sits at "Mixed" reviews overall, the more recent reviews (in the last 30 days) have been mostly positive on the platform.
For more budget-friendly titles, check out Monster Hunter World (67% off, for RM32.34) and Hades (50% off, for RM30.50), both of which have a sequel of some sort in the works.
The Epic Games Store (EGS) also has some solid deals, with Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX on offer for RM80, which is 60% off.
The deal is for a remastered collection of six titles in the series originally available on older consoles like the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable.
Of course, there's also Kingdom Hearts 3 along with the accompanying Re Mind DLC similarly 60% off for RM97.20.
Other EGS exclusives on sale include PC Building Simulator 2 (33% off, for RM56.95), The Crew Motorfest (50% off, for RM114.50), and Alan Wake 2 (50% off, for RM114.50).
There are also some deals up for grabs for PlayStation gamers too, with 50% off on both God of War Ragnarok (RM125.50) and Horizon Forbidden West (RM84.50).
Steam's Winter sale offerings started earlier today and will last until 6pm on Jan 4, with PlayStation's lasting until Jan 5 at 11.59pm and EGS' until Jan 11 at 12am.
