Sony has announced that it will be releasing an adapter that will allow the PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2) to be used on PC on Aug 7.

At release, the PSVR2 only had support for the PlayStation 5.

In a post to the PlayStation blog, the company says that the adapter, which is priced at US$59.99 (RM281), will allow PSVR2 owners access to Steam’s expansive library of virtual reality titles.

It further notes that not all PSVR2 features are supported on PC, such as high dynamic range (HDR), headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback.

Certain other features will still be functional, including 4K visuals and foveated rendering, among others.

It is currently unclear if the adapter will receive a Malaysian release. However, the PSVR2 did receive an official launch in the country back in 2022.
