Les’ Copaque Production’s CEO Burhan Radzi has generated excitement among fans by posting a series of photos and videos on his Facebook page, giving a sneak peek into the highly anticipated Upin & Ipin console game.
According to Burhan, the animation company had commissioned the renowned Las Vegas-based game developer Streamline Inc last year to develop the Upin & Ipin game based on the animated series.
“All of Streamline’s staff involved in this project are based in Malaysia, and they worked closely with our team,” adds Burhan.
The open-play console game, which was delivered to the Les’ Copaque Production office for testing yesterday, will be available on PS4 and Switch.
“They say it’s an open world. I didn’t know the world could be opened... ha ha,” Burhan jokes, adding that they are aiming to launch the game in early 2025 pending the publisher’s approval.
As mentioned by the CEO, it is a family-friendly game with no violence and is also suitable for all ages.
While details about the game’s specific gameplay features remain under wraps, the teaser content shared by Burhan hints at impressive graphics and engaging storylines.
Burhan adds that the project is expected to be completed by October this year.
The animation company is hopeful that this game will put Malaysia on the map in the gaming world.
“We are optimistic that this project will be successful and become a source of pride for Malaysia,” says Burhan, showcasing the country's growing talent in the gaming industry.
