Samsung has confirmed that its latest iteration of Galaxy Unpacked is set for July 10.

The event is expected to unveil the company's new lineup of foldables for the year, with previous years having seen the July Galaxy Unpacked events debut new versions of the smartphone giant's Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices.

Samsung's announcement for the event mentions how Galaxy AI, the company's suite of generative AI tools, has been integrated into the latest Galaxy Z series of devices and its Galaxy ecosystem as a whole.

Rumours have been circulating about a potentially larger cover screen on an updated Z Flip, with online tech publication Android Authority reporting earlier in June on the new outer screen measuring 3.9in. For reference, the current Z Flip 5 has a 3.4in cover screen.

The report also brought up the possibility of an upgraded camera, with a 50-megapixel main sensor similar to the one on the existing Galaxy Z Fold 5.

A separate report from TechRadar said that the new Z Fold device might include a wider internal display and different aspect ratio, along with a more durable outer screen.

A live broadcast of the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris will be available on the company's website and social media pages and is scheduled to start at 9pm Malaysia time on July 10.

Customers who register their interest on Samsung's website during the lead-up to the event will be eligible for an RM500 evoucher for pre-orders of the new Galaxy devices.
