After over an entire year of being a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Final Fantasy XVI will finally be debuting for PC gamers on both Steam and the Epic Games Store (EGS) on Sept 18.

The game is now available for pre-order on both platforms, priced at RM209 for the standard version and RM299 for the Complete Edition. The Complete Edition includes all previously released downloadable content, including Echoes Of The Fallen, and The Rising Tide.

Those who pre-order Final Fantasy XVI will also get extra in-game bonuses, including an accessory (Cait Sith's Charm), a collectable music roll (Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll), and a weapon (Brave Blade).

A demo for the PC port of the game is currently available via both Steam and EGS store pages for those who want to check in advance if their hardware can handle the title during the lead-up to launch. The demo install will take up XVI.6GB of storage space.

Final Fantasy XVI follows protagonist Clive Rosfield in a grittier setting than its predecessors, reportedly inspired by the Game Of Thrones television series, and was originally launched in June 2023.

The title, billed as a dark fantasy twist on the Final Fantasy formula, is described by developer and publisher Square Enix as the “first fully-fledged Action RPG in the mainline Final Fantasy series”.
