Microsoft has started rolling out its latest major Windows update. Dubbed 24H2, this update puts artificial intelligence at the heart of the computer operating system.
This long-awaited Windows Update (24H2) sees AI directly integrated into many of the system's tools, from search to image creation and editing. However, users will be able to disable the use of generative AI for some or all applications.
Copilot is an intelligent assistant powered by artificial intelligence. Its integration into Windows is designed to simplify system management, as well as most of the programs it works with.
It can also be used to work on various documents (rewriting, summarizing or simply explaining them) or to ask any practical question. It can be accessed directly from the taskbar.
With this update, Windows 11 gains support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth LE Audio. The operating system also features new battery-saving options.
To install it, go to Windows Update in your system settings. You can always activate the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" option if you're keen to try out new features as soon as possible.
Note, however, that the roll-out takes place in waves, so you may not yet have access to the update.
However, it's advisable to wait a little before updating Windows, to avoid encountering problems still unresolved by Microsoft (as was recently the case with the optional KB5043145 update). – AFP Relaxnews
