A school computer technician has been charged with blackmailing girls as young as 12, New Jersey prosecutors said.

Bryce Berger, 24, a computer tech with Medford Township Public Schools, was arrested on Sept 19, according to a news release by Burlington County prosecutors.

Berger went online and asked for nudes from underage girls, prosecutors said.

Then, he threatened to leak the photos if the girl didn’t send more pictures, prosecutors said.

The victims’ ages ranged from 12 to 17 years old, according to the release.

Berger also sent sexually explicit photos to the girls and sent “images of child sexual abuse material to another person,” prosecutors said.

McClatchy News reached out to Medford Superintendent of Schools Keira Scussa on Sept. 23 and was awaiting a response.

Berger “is no longer with the district,” which took “immediate action to ensure this individual has no access to school buildings or property,” according to a statement Scussa gave the Courier Post.

Prosecutors said Berger was in a “non-instructional position” and was not around students while unsupervised.

The investigation remains ongoing, but officials don’t believe any of the victims were students at the school where Berger was employed, prosecutors said.

Berger was charged with production of child sexual abuse material, possession with intent to distribute child sexual abuse material, distribution of child sexual abuse material, impairing/debauching the morals of a child, possession of child sexual abuse material, obscenity to a minor and sexual extortion, officials said.
