Although OpenAI is constantly improving its many AI tools (ChatGPT, Dall-E, Sora, etc), users are still eager for more updates and features. Indeed, they’re keen to get their hands on increasingly powerful content-generation tools.

The end of 2024 brought a great deal of news from OpenAI, from the rollout of ChatGPT's search engine to its integration into WhatsApp and the official launch of the video-generation tool, Sora.

Despite this, Sam Altman asked his followers on X what new features or improvements they would like OpenAI to bring to these tools in 2025. According to Altman, the top priority is the development of a new form of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) capable of “surpassing” anything a human can achieve. There are even whispers that the next model deployed in ChatGPT could come close to this concept.

Users are also keen to see more intelligent agents, automated robots that can perform automatic tasks like a real personal assistant, like, for example, rescheduling missed appointments or placing orders according to the user's needs.

People are also hoping for an update to GPT 4o, a deeper search function and an even more powerful version of Sora – no surprise there.

Without going into detail, Sam Altman noted that many important future updates have not been mentioned at all, or at least alluded to very little. Time to place your bets on what the company has in store for 2025. – AFP Relaxnews
