Are you looking for a way to reduce your monthly expenses? If you’re out of contract, consider going for a more affordable mobile plan.

The good news is that more telcos are now offering plans with unlimited data for under RM50.

U Mobile

For starters, U Mobile has four U Prepaid plans with unlimited data, namely U Prepaid 25 for RM25, U Prepaid 35 for RM35, U Prepaid 40 for RM40 and U Prepaid 50 for RM50.

The plans have different speeds where U Prepaid 25 comes with 6Mbps, both U Prepaid 35 and 40 get 12Mbps, while those subscribing to U Prepaid 50 will get 24Mbps.

The company promises Unlimited 5G Weekends for all the plans (except U Prepaid 25) where users get to experience 5G/4G speed on Saturdays and Sundays, which can be redeemed on a weekly basis from the MyUMobile app. The 5G or 4G speed is also based on “best network available” in the user’s area.

For U Prepaid 25, it comes with free 30 Hours of 5G/4G Ultra Speed for users where they can redeem one hour of Ultra Speed daily from the MyUMobile app.

CelcomDigi

CelcomDigi has two prepaid plans with unlimited data, starting with the Prepaid 5G 25 for RM25 with 3Mbps speed and 15GB base quota allocation for high-speed Internet experience at 100Mbps speed. It also comes with 3Gbps hotspot data.

The company is also offering Prepaid 5G 39 for RM39 with 12Mbps speed and 65GB base quota allocation for high-speed Internet experience plus 15GB hotspot data, both at 100Mbps speed.

Hotlink

Hotlink has two unlimited data plans: RM40 with 12Mbps speed and RM50 for 24Mbps speed. The company promises that users can experience uncapped speed for 5G network from 8pm to 8am daily.

Unifi Mobile

Under Unifi Mobile, there’s Uni5G Wow 35 offering unlimited data with uncapped 5G speed plus 10GB hotspot data for RM35.

Yes

Yes has a Yes Prepaid FT5G plan promising unlimited data with uncapped speeds for 5G, and a capped speed of up to 7Mbps for 4G Internet experience.

The company also has the Infinite Basic postpaid plan with 12-month contract for RM38 offering unlimited data and uncapped speeds for both 4G/5G Internet.

Terms and conditions apply

Do note that unlimited data plans are subjected to each company’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP), where most stated that the FUP limit will be 200GB. Once users hit the FUP limit, they will be informed that the Internet surfing experience will be reduced to a speed of 512Kbps until the plan expires.

For U Prepaid 25 under U Mobile, the FUP limit is 40GB while Unifi Mobile stated in its FAQ that the FUP cap for its Uni5G Wow 35 plan is 50GB for 4G/5G and 50GB for 5G only.
