At CES 2025, Aurzen unveiled the ZIP, the world’s very first folding video projector. The ZIP stands out for its ability to fold in three, making it easy to store and transport for use anywhere, anytime.
This pocket-friendly innovation turns any space into a projection theatre. Its compact size and light weight make it easy to transport, offering a practical solution for professional presentations, impromptu movie nights or sharing multimedia content on the move.
When unfolded, the ZIP projects high-resolution images (720p) with a brightness of 100 ANSI lumens. Its battery lasts for around an hour and 30 minutes, enough to watch an episode of a TV show or a short film, but not much more.
Its tri-fold design could revolutionise the video projector market, offering an alternative to the often cumbersome traditional models. But that's not all, as its design allows the projection angle to be adjusted as required, offering great freedom of use.
What’s more, its wireless connectivity and autofocus options make it both comprehensive and practical to use, whatever the circumstances. The main advantage of owning such a device lies in its portability and flexibility. It can transform any space into a projection zone, whether for business or entertainment, no matter where you are.
Sparking much curiosity at this year's CES, this product is currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, where it can be purchased for as little as US$249 (RM1,118). The first shipments are expected in March 2025.
Another projector in the spotlight at the Las Vegas tech show is Samsung's The Premiere 5. This is a very compact device with an ultra-short focal length, which means it can be placed very close to a wall and still produce a large image. It has been designed to integrate easily into any environment, offering a projection solution that's both discreet and high-performance.
