AMPANG JAYA: Computer hardware manufacturer Asus has unveiled its new lineup of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Copilot+ laptops during a press event in Selangor today (Feb 19).
Among the lineup is the Zenbook A14, which the company says is the lightest laptop equipped with Copilot+ in Malaysia, coming in at just 899g, with the top-of-the-line version coming in slightly heavier at 980g.
The screen on the A14 measures 14in with a 90% screen-to-body ratio thanks to its slim bezels.
The higher-end model features a Snapdragon X Elite processor, while the basic model has a Snapdragon X. The more powerful option also comes with an OLED panel for the display, while the other has an IPS.
It is further equipped with 32GB RAM and a 1TB internal solid-state storage, along with a 70Wh battery, which Asus says charges to 60% in just 49 minutes.
Asus also claims that the battery will last 24 hours when used for binge-watching video, 29 hours for video playback without WiFi enabled, and 15.9 hours for nonstop web browsing.
This powers a suite of AI tools available via Windows Copilot+, including generative fill for images, improved Windows Search, and Recall.
Another AI feature included with the launch is Asus' StoryHub, a media library organisation tool that can even detect the people captured in photos.
The Asus Zenbook A14 is priced at RM4,999 for the Snapdragon X equipped model, and RM5,999 for the Snapdragon X Elite model, both of which are available in Zabriskie Beige and Iceland Gray colours.
Customers who pre-order the laptop from Asus concept stores between March 7 to 31 will also be entitled to an Asus ZenScreen MB166B worth RM700.
During the event, Asus further unveiled the refreshed versions of the Vivobook 14 and 16, Vivobook 14 and 16 Flip, Zenbook 14 and 14 OLED, Zenbook Duo, and V500 Mini Tower.
