BERLIN: Everything suddenly looks enormous. The app icons are four times larger than usual, and only a small section of the home screen or the app currently in use is visible.
Don’t panic – you haven't just broken your iPhone. The fix is quite easy and just requires a simple gesture: Tap the display twice with three fingers, and everything returns to normal.
This triple-finger tap is designed to make iPhones easier to use for people with visual impairments – it’s called screen zoom.
If you don’t need it and find yourself turning it on by accident, you can disable it in the iOS settings.
The option can be found under "Accessibility" in the "Zoom" section. There, you can also customise the zoom to your preferences and find instructions on how to control the feature.
Keep in mind, that a screen magnifier on your iPhone can still be useful from time to time – even if you don't have visual impairments. – dpa/Tribune News Service
