PETALING JAYA: Tabung Haji (TH) said it has temporarily suspended its services as a precaution after detecting suspicious cyber activity on Oct 7.

"As a preventive measure and part of ongoing security strengthening efforts, TH is conducting comprehensive monitoring of all its systems, which involves the temporary suspension of services to depositors," it said in an announcement on X today (Oct 8).

Tabung Haji said the measure aims to protect the interests of depositors and ensure the continued security of its systems.

"TH is also working closely with relevant agencies, including the National Cyber Security Agency (Nacsa) and CyberSecurity Malaysia, to address the matter."

In the statement, Tabung Haji apologised to its depositors for the disruption.

"TH would like to emphasise that depositors’ savings and personal data remain safe and secure. The security of depositors’ savings and information has always been TH’s priority," it reiterated.

The statement further added that updates on the restoration status will be available on TH's official channels, and that depositors may get in touch with the TH Contact Centre at 03-6207 1919 for further enquiries.
