Furniture makers urged to move up value chain

KUALA LUMPUR: Furniture manufacturers have been urged to move up the value chain and invest in original design and automated manufacturing to remain competitive, said Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Douglas Uggah Embas.

He said this in a message featured in the show directory of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair 2014 (MIFF 2014), the country’s largest furniture trade show yesterday.
