RHB Research Overweight on property sector


RHB Research says its expects a stronger recovery in demand for property in the second half of the year, with people wanting to avoid paying the 6% GST which will takes effect from April 1, 2015. It says the Klang Valley should also provide impetus with more news on infrastructure projects like the MRT Line 2 and 3, and more development projects expected in Penang.

KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Research is maintaining its Overweight rating on the property sector and its top picks are Sunway, Tambun Indah and Matrix Concepts.

It said on Tuesday concerns over an interest rate hike should have largely been priced in.
