Tanjung Offshore slips into the red in Q2


KUALA LUMPUR: Tanjung Offshore posted a surprising net loss of RM1.21mil in the second quarter ended June 30, 2014 due to a decline in contracts and higher operating expenses when compared with net profit of RM5.73mil a year ago.

It announced on Monday it posted a pre-tax loss of RM909,000 compared to RM6.21mil a year ago. Its revenue fell 57.7% to RM34.55mil from RM81.81mil. Loss per share was 0.35 sen compared with earnings per share of 1.73 sen.
