Sona firm on Salamander deal


PETALING JAYA: Sona Petroleum Bhd has reiterated its firm commitment to its shareholders to pursue the transactions announced with Salamander Energy Plc (Salamander) for an effective interest in the B8/38 and G4/50 concessions in Bualang.

Managing director Datuk Sri Hadian Hashim said it was aware of the ongoing speculation regarding rival bids on a corporate level for Salamander and the impact of oil prices on Sona’s agreement with the London-listed firm.
