KUALA LUMPUR: Sumatec Resources Bhd has been attracting strong interest since news of its major shareholder Tan Sri Halim Saad has raised his stake in the oil and gas services company.
The increase in his stake is ahead of the EGM on April 8 where shareholders decide on the company’s US$290mil proposed acquisition of oilfields and other assets in Kazakhstan.
