AirAsia sees sales boost after tie-up with UnionPay


SHANGHAI: AirAsia expects sales to grow dramatically following its strategic partnership with UnionPay International, a subsidiary of bankcard association, China UnionPay.

AirAsia Bhd group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said that making the transactions easy would increase the low-cost airline’s business, adding that the online transactions made via UnionPay International had hit more than 10 million yuan before the announcement yesterday.
