Digi's net profit down 6.9%

KUALA LUMPUR: Digi.Com Bhd’s net profit fell 6.9% to RM464.35mil in the second quarter ended June 30, 2015, from RM498.91mil a year ago due to higher depreciation and amortisation charges as well as higher tax expenses.

The telco said on Monday its revenue slipped 1.3% to RM1.72bil from RM1.74bil a year ago due to competition intensity in IDD services as well as post-GST implementation confusion. Earnings per share were 5.97 sen. It declared a dividend of 5.9 sen per share compared with 6.4 sen a year ago.
