Ewein, Zenith to build wellness resort in Penang


KUALA LUMPUR: Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd has inked an MoU with Consortium Zenith BUCG Sdn Bhd to develop a resort called the “Wellness City of Dreams” in Penang.

With the agreement, the companies will develop the resort over a 50 acres site in Bandar Tanjong Pinang.

Ewein said on Thursday its subsidiary, Ewein Zenith was selected by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives and Consumerism for Entry Point Project (EPP) 10 under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) to develop the wellness resort.

The resort will have a wellness mall, business and specialist centre, resort and hotel and provide services such as anti-aging, aesthetics and comprehensive regenerative treatments.

The land is part of the 110 acres of reclaimed land given to Consortium Zenith BUCG by the Penang Government in return for the construction of the RM6.3bil Penang undersea tunnel and three major roads. It is expected to be fully operational by Dec 2020.

Ewein Zenith is 60% owned by Ewein while Consortium Zenith BUCG holds the remaining 40%.
