JAKARTA: The Indonesian government has declared 13 airlines to have turned their equity positive and would not face suspension, including Indonesia AirAsia, the Investor Daily reported, quoting Suprasetyodi, transport ministry's director general for air transportation.
The government found these airlines to have "negative equity" in July, the paper said.
The airlines, whose value of assets used to secure a loan was less than the outstanding balance of the loan, were told to raise their equity by September or face suspension of their operating licences, the paper said. - Reuters
